Go to the Main Menu.
Select the Settings icon (gear symbol).
Navigate to Gameplay Settings.
Find Quick CPU Pitching and toggle it On.
With this on, the CPU will skip unnecessary pre-pitch delays, speeding up every play.
Step 2: Optimize Offline Speed
For maximum efficiency while grinding games, combine Quick CPU Pitching with these settings:
Presentation Mode → Fast Play: Skip broadcast cutscenes, player intros, and other non-essential transitions.
Pitcher Delivery → Stretch Only: All pitchers now use the faster stretch animation, reducing delays regardless of base runners.
These settings together make offline sessions move at a much faster pace.
Step 3: Quick Pitching as a Player
If you want to throw faster pitches yourself to the CPU or opponents:
Be in the Stretch: This automatically happens when there is at least one runner on base.
Select Pitch & Location: Choose your pitch type and target.
Hold L2/LT: Hold L2 (PlayStation) or LT (Xbox) while pitching.
⚠️ Note: This is essentially a slide step pitch. It gets the ball to the plate faster, which helps prevent stolen bases, but it reduces your accuracy. Use it strategically.
Final Tips
Quick CPU Pitching is great for grinding content without wasting time. If your goal is to farm XP, stubs, or tokens, combine it with Fast Play presentation and Stretch Only delivery to maximize efficiency. Just remember: your own quick pitches come with an accuracy trade-off, so use them wisely in critical situations.
